For SVA Graubünden in the centre of Chur, a new working environment for around 200 employees has emerged that is more than a spatial project. The aim was to create an environment that strengthens collaboration, enables focused work and makes the identity of the place tangible. The key to success: everyone was involved from the outset. In workshops, employees discussed their ways of working together, defined zones and developed ground rules for using the new spaces. This created a shared understanding of how they want to work together in the future. The various areas bear Romansh names and bring a piece of Grisons into everyday working life: Lavur stands for focused work, Silenzi for concentration and quiet, Collavuraziun for meetings, Ensemen for cross-departmental collaboration, Scuntrada for encounter and Remisa for storage. These zones provide orientation and clearly show which kind of work belongs where.
