... but what came out of it is no joke, but rather a walk-in ode to solar power

Solar power for all is not just a catchphrase. Everyone in the city of Zurich can produce, obtain and support solar power – thanks to ewz. Exactly how this works, how solar power functions and where the solar power comes from is explained by ewz in the temporary exhibition pavilion at the Zurich municipal nursery.
Spatial Services had the opportunity to develop and implement the exhibition for ewz, from the selection of topics and the staging through to the planting of the pavilion. The graphics and the coordination with ewz's exhibition content were handled by S/W Design.

The temporary house, built from tinted scaffolding material, demonstrates across two storeys the application of solar cells as they could be installed on a conventional house. Whether pitched or flat roof, planted or tinted, large-scale installation or very small – solar energy has long been mainstream; it is simply still used too little in this country.
