Reports of its death were greatly exaggerated. In the bunker-like building, we staged a colourful portrayal of the habitat of the otter, which is on the rise again in Switzerland thanks to protective measures.

Following the successful revamp of the solar exhibition, THE SPATIALISTS were once again able to bring ewz's second permanent exhibition at Zoo Zurich into the present – scenographically, in terms of content and in terms of design.
In collaboration with S/W Design, a colourful world has emerged that not only better reflects the lively nature of the otter and its natural habitat, but also appeals to the main visitor target group: with many interactive elements, even the youngest can now actively search for traces of the otter.
Anyone wishing to learn more can read on the large, clearly arranged information panels that it is in our hands whether the otter feels at home in our environment. The most important prerequisite is an intact habitat for all animals in and around our waters.
As Switzerland's largest operator of hydropower plants, ewz embraces this responsibility. Fish passes, renaturation projects and direct support for the Pro Lutra association for the protection of the otter in Switzerland all bear witness to this.
