In the age of digitalisation and the accompanying individualisation of the customer experience, the conventional branch is increasingly becoming a thing of the past.

In close collaboration with the UBS project team, we therefore developed a temporary branch format with which target-group-appropriate customer engagement can be tested under real conditions.

In October 2017, UBS opened the Concept Space+ at Winterthur station, in the immediate vicinity of the ZHAW. There, students could study and work during the day at up to 30 places. The infrastructure, including coffee, was provided free of charge by UBS. At the reception desk, demonstrations of UBS's online tools took place, and in the lounge students could open a new account right away on their own phone via the app.

Following the success of the first Concept Space+ at Winterthur station, in September 2018 UBS opened the second Concept Space+ at the HEG in Fribourg, with more than 50 places.
